Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BuzzQR (“BuzzQR”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our website at buzzqr.in and our QR code generation, management, and analytics services (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account credentials, billing details, and any content you create (including QR code destinations, campaign names, and landing pages). We also collect information automatically when QR codes are scanned or when you use the Services, including IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, and scan timestamps.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, operate, and improve the Services; to generate scan analytics and reports; to process payments; to authenticate users and secure accounts; to provide customer support; to send service-related and, where permitted, marketing communications; and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Scan data and analytics

When an end user scans a QR code created with BuzzQR, we record limited technical data (such as IP-derived location, device type, and time) to produce aggregate analytics for the account that owns the code. We do not attempt to identify individual scanners, and we do not sell scan data.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, payment processors such as Razorpay and cloud hosting providers), when required by law or to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer. These providers are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Card and payment-instrument details are entered on and handled by the payment provider; BuzzQR does not store full card numbers on its servers. The provider’s handling of payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, scoped API keys, and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the EU/UK GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
